STUDENT DATA PROTECTION

Excellence in education requires that technology is seamlessly integrated throughout the educational curricula. Increasing access to technology enriches the curriculum and empowers students to maximize their full potential and prepares them for college and the workplace.

In many classes at Columbine, students are a part of a 1:1 Chromebook environment where Chromebooks are available for each student to use in the classroom. Columbine also has computer labs for engineering, digital photography, and other classroom projects.

Digital tools are used to supplement instruction and enrich learning. When evaluating tools for classroom use, student data privacy is a prime concern. CHS follows the Student and Data Privacy guidelines put forth by the Jefferson County School Board and the Colorado Department of Education.

The Data Privacy & Security page on the district website describes safeguards taken by Jeffco Schools to support data security operations

You can view the Jeffco Digital Tools Page for ALL vetted tools/sites.
