Daily Announcements

Student-led Conferences, October 4th, 4-8pm
Parents are encouraged to bring their students to the conferences with them.  Although we are not using a full student-led model, we do believe that students, who are at the core of what we do, provide a valuable voice when discussing academic progress with teachers.

We encourage parents to discuss the following six questions with their students before, during, and after the conferences:

  1. What have you worked on so far in all of your classes?
  2. What learning is expected to take place as the semester and as the year progresses? What will you be working on next?
  3. What do you consider to be your strength areas in your classes?
  4. What do you consider to be your areas of growth in your classes?
  5. When looking at your assessment data (MAP, CMAS, PSAT, SAT), in what areas are you progressing, and what areas may need more attention
  6. Overall, what are your areas of strength and areas of growth as a student at Columbine?
  •  Volunteers needed to support CHS Staff and Students during conferences!  Traditionally we provide dinner for the staff before conferences AND host a bake sale with proceeds going to our Senior Scholarship account.  Please follow the links below  to contribute as you are able.  Many thanks for helping us stay REBEL STRONG!

Operation Wallacea is a student research trip where you will be able to dive through coral reefs, ride with whale watchers, or catch lizards, birds, and fish in the rain forest. This is a great opportunity to get some real world experience in the field of science. We will have an informational meeting on Tuesday, October 3rd at 7pm in room Science-7. Please see Mr. Nichols or Mrs. McElroy with any questions.
